These are personalized art adventures geared to your skill level and time schedule. Classes and workshops focus on the beauty of the Southwest landscape, from canyon sunsets to adobe architecture.

Sketching Santa Fe is a fun and creative leisure time activity that can be designed as either an outdoor adventure or a class in an art studio. All needed materials are supplied for you, and no previous experience is required.
This activity is designed to make it easy for you to have an art experience. Classes are both fun and educational and are designed for all levels of experience. The total beginner to the trained artist are welcome. The materials are supplied - a jump start for first-timers and added spark for those with experience. Study individually or in a small group...in the studio or outdoors.
This is an especially fun activity for friends and family members to share.
In warm weather, you'll meet outdoors in scenic locations with mountain views. Studio classes are held in colder weather and upon request.

Are these classes appropriate for children? -- Motivated adolescents (ages 10-12) generally can join in with the adults.
Where are classes held and how long are they? -- In good weather, the 3-hour classes are held in scenic locations between five and ten minutes by car from the downtown plaza. Settings are beautiful and historic and include mountain views, incredible skies, Southwestern terrain and vegetation, and adobe houses scattered near and far. Studio classes, where we work from photographs of the landscape, are also available year round and if the weather is not conducive to working outdoors. Directions to various locations will be given to you upon registration.
What art materials are provided? -- Materials provided for your class are pastels, sketching materials, a variety of papers and blending tools, surfaces to work on and packaging of your artwork to return safely home with you. Instruction on how to use all materials is supplied, as well as written handouts for you to keep. Additional media may be available upon request. Pastels have been chosen for these classes because they are easily adaptable to sketching and pastel painting. Pastels are direct and forgiving with rich, vibrant color that is excellent for interpreting the Southwestern landscape.
Please Note: all persons attending these art classes will be required to sign a liability waiver. A parent or legal guardian must sign for any minor child.
Hotel Pick up is not offered; directions to the meeting location in Santa Fe will be provided on your E-Ticket. Rates are per person. There is no child price discount.
There are no refunds. All sales are final.
If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
